As the season 10 opens, Natalia Boa Vista (Eva La Rue) is drowning in the back of a trunk. Alana De La Garza, whose character seemed to meet a certain death in Season 4, returns. A powerful crime boss (24’s Carlos Bernard) is about to begin his cat-and-mouse game with Horatio Caine (David Caruso). Then there’s the biggest mystery of all: The ambiguous relationship between Eric Delko (Adam Rodriguez) and Calleigh Duquesne (Emily Procter). We crack the case.

In the premiere, Delko and Calleigh get snippy with each other. What just happened?
Procter: That was a lovers’ spat.

Are they together then?
Procter: I think they’re together. At the end of the episode, Calleigh is addressing her thoughts on family and where this is going.

How’d you like to see it play out?
Rodriguez: At this point, if we’re going to go down that road, let’s go down it. Let’s see the good and the bad of having the kind of job where your life can be in danger, and (have) the pressure of trying to protect somebody you care about. Or having to work with somebody you may be having problems at home, and you have to put that aside to do a job. Let’s really explore it!

So we’re moving ahead at full speed?
Procter: They did want me to kiss him on the cheek, and I said.”I think that’s a little too fast!” It’s fine that it’s slow, because we’re fighting crime. This is a mystery show.

• The team gets called in to a crime scene in the huge, creepy mansion of a famous Vampire thriller writer, Marilyn Mills. Her editor found the dead body of the author’s maid strung up – the crime scene replicated off one of Mill’s books.

• Is this Miami’s take on Vampire hits like Twilight,The Vampire Diaries and True Blood? It has been awhile that we have not seen a spooky episode so definitely something to look forward to.

It does not show how Horatio and Natalia got out of their predicament but I see a scene of them together taking part in the investigation. I also see Renee working with H.

Austin North, Randy’s(Ethan Embry) 8 year old son helps the team locate his Dad. Calleigh, Delko and Ryan have a stake out at a beach to catch Randy. Finally, we see Calleigh back in action!
A touching part of this episode is Calleigh developing a bond with Austin. He wanted Calleigh to take care of him and his sister. It shows Calleigh teary eyed.

Jack Toller sold his plates to Leo and as part of the payment he got this girl Melanie who works in the club owned by this guy Leo. Melanie is taken hostage by Toller and is later in the episode she helps the CSIs catch Toller. It also has some flashbacks showing Toller as a boy and his relationship with his Mom.

Synopsis

Following traumatic near-death experiences, Horatio and Natalia struggle to keep moving and hunt down the men responsible for their ordeals.

~ Things seem to pick up almost instantly. Jack Toller is still on the lose, and he seems to be working with an accomplice: Leo Kendry. Jack is in the process of making a counterfeit deal, and he’s also taking an 18-year-old girl (Melanie) with him.
~ Calleigh helps get a kid into foster care.
~ Renee Locklear is back and she’s assisting Horatio (who appears to be alive!). Oh, and Natalia? Well, she’s **a*!
~ Walter and Tripp have a scene together where they discover an important piece of evidence that might lead to Jack’s whereabouts.
~ Jack appears to have mommy issues, which might be a reason why he is the way he is today.
~ I see mentions for everyone except for Tom Loman. There’s an Eric/Calleigh/Ryan scene that looks promising. Lots of Calleigh from what I can tell!
